Terms of Service

1. Service overview

StashMe is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform for digital cloakroom management, published by StashMe SAS (hereinafter "StashMe", "we", "our"). The service allows venues (hereinafter "the Venue" or "the Client") to manage their customers' item deposits through a web and mobile interface.

StashMe is not a point-of-sale system, a payment terminal, or an invoicing tool. StashMe is an operational cloakroom management tool. The integrated payment features (via SumUp or Stripe) are provided by approved and certified third-party payment providers. StashMe acts solely as a technical intermediary to facilitate payment collection on behalf of the Venue.

2. Acceptance of terms

Using the StashMe service implies full and unconditional acceptance of these terms of service. By creating an account or using the service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.

3. Services offered

StashMe offers the following services:

  • Digital cloakroom deposit management (hangers, bags, items)
  • Automatic cloakroom number assignment
  • Digital ticket generation with QR code
  • Apple Wallet and Google Wallet integration
  • Real-time dashboard for staff
  • Online payment collection (via third-party providers: SumUp, Stripe)
  • Event management and session tracking
  • Usage analytics and statistics

4. Subscriptions and pricing

4.1 Available plans

StashMe offers two subscription plans:

  • Starter : Cloakroom management, QR tickets, real-time dashboard, basic analytics
  • Growth : Everything in Starter + payment processing, advanced customer management, advanced analytics, priority support

4.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Payment is due at the beginning of each billing period. Prices are shown in euros, tax included.

4.3 Cancellation

The subscription can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorated refund will be issued for the current period.

5. Venue responsibilities

The Venue is solely responsible for:

  • The safekeeping and security of items deposited by its customers
  • Compliance of its activity with applicable local regulations
  • Tax and accounting compliance of its activity, including declaration of revenue collected via the service
  • The use of a certified POS system (NF525) if required by regulations for its activity
  • Obtaining consent from its customers for the processing of their personal data
  • Informing its customers about deposit and return conditions
  • Handling complaints and disputes with its own customers

StashMe provides a technical tool and assumes no responsibility for commercial operations, venue security, or the quality of cloakroom service provided by the Venue.

6. Payments and commissions

Payment features are only available with the Growth plan. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (SumUp, Stripe) in accordance with their own terms of service.

StashMe charges a 5% commission on each transaction processed through the platform. This commission is automatically deducted from the transaction amount. Payment provider processing fees (SumUp, Stripe) apply in addition.

StashMe does not generate invoices in the fiscal sense. Payment receipts displayed in the application are transaction confirmations, not invoices. It is the Venue's responsibility to issue the tax documents required by applicable regulations.

7. Limitation of liability

StashMe shall not be held liable for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage of items deposited in the cloakroom
  • Service interruptions due to maintenance or causes beyond its control
  • Indirect damages, loss of revenue, or data loss
  • Malfunctions of third-party payment providers
  • Non-compliant use of the service by the Venue or its employees

In any event, StashMe's total liability is limited to the amount of subscriptions paid by the Venue during the preceding 12 months.

8. Intellectual property

All elements of the StashMe service (software, interface, design, brand, logos) are the exclusive property of StashMe SAS. Any unauthorized reproduction, representation, or exploitation is prohibited.

9. Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. StashMe acts as a data processor on behalf of the Venue (data controller) within the meaning of the GDPR.

10. Modification of terms

StashMe reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified by email of any material changes. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
